Tozeur Airport

The international airport of Tozeur-Nefta is the hub of the Tunisian southwest. Indeed, it accommodates tourists who come to discover the Tunisian South, offering one of the gates of the Sahara desert. Operational since November 1, 1978, it is located about 4 km northwest of the city of Tozeur and 23 km northeast of the city of Nefta. Like all major airports in the country, the international airport of Tozeur-Nefta is administered by the Office of Civil Aviation and Airports (OACA). Tozeur-Nefta International Airport has a capacity of 400,000 passengers per year and extends over 6,500 m2.

With an area of 690 hectares, the airport hosts mainly charter flights. Indeed, the Tunisian companies Tunisair and Tunisair Express provide several regular flights to this airport. Since 2016, the company Tunisair provides a weekly connection from Paris. The main activity of the international airport of Tozeur-Nefta, is mainly to accommodate travelers visiting southern Tunisia. The major attraction of the region is for travelers to discover the gates of the Sahara, its oases and majestic palm groves. Winter and autumn correspond to the high season for this airport, since these are the periods during which the weather is mildest.
