The Chak Wak Park of Tozeur is part of one of the oldest and most important touristic and cultural sites in the region of Tozeur. It is unanimously recognized as one of the main attractions of the south-west Tunisian touristic offer. It is a park of entertainment, animation and culture, located in the heart of the largest palm grove in Tunisia, the oasis of Tozeur.
The Chak-Wak Tozeur park and museum offers a space of five hectares. Among the attractions, we find: about fifty replicas of dinosaurs, as well as about a hundred animal, humanoid and human mannequins. There are also several mini-museums, caves, huts, all scattered in the middle of a lush oasis vegetation. The Chak-Wak proposes a reconstitution of the history of the Earth and Humanity through science but also according to different religions.
Your visit begins with the Big Bang, the formation of the Earth, then follows the different geological eras, while passing by the life of the dinosaurs before the arrival of Mankind.
You will also be able to relive great historical and religious events such as: the flood and Noah’s ark, the sacrifice of Abraham, the crossing of the Red Sea in two by Moses, the nativity of Jesus and the birth of Islam.
