Kebili is the capital of southwest Tunisia. In the heart of an oasis, the city of Kebili is the administrative center of the governorate bearing the same name. It is surrounded by Gafsa to the north, Tozeur and Algeria to the west, Gabes and Medenine to the east and finally Tataouine to the south. The region of Kebili constitutes the link between the dense vegetation offered by the palm grove and the important dunes on the distant horizon. Thanks to these breathtaking natural landscapes, the region has been able to develop Saharan tourism.
With its palm grove counting more than 100 000 trees, Kebili has the most important palm grove of the Nefzaoua region. It is found between the Chott-el-Jerid, the Chott el-Fejaj and the mountains of Djebel Tebaga, straddling the territories of the governorate of Gabes (eastern part) and Kebili (central and western).
If you dream of sun, blue sky, warmth and introspection or of wide open spaces, look no further: the Sahara is what you need. You will be able to discover the Saharan nature with its various vestiges in Kébili and its surroundings.
Enjoy the landscapes offered by the largest desert in the world, with its fine white sand dunes, its rocks, etc…
